Audubon Tea Room

Glazer Audubon Tea Room is the most prestigious of Audubon's venues, with gleaming wood floors, soaring ceilings, silk drapes and an impressive series of double doors leading to the lush Tea Room Garden. Riverview Terrace at Audubon Aquarium

Located inside the Audubon Aquarium, this private event space on the Mississippi River is available for daytime or evening rentals. The venue is walking distance from the French Quarter, Convention Center, and most downtown hotels.

  • 4,400 square feet of flexible event space
  • Can accommodate receptions for up to 300 guests
  • Can accommodate seated functions for up to 200 guests
  • Private entrance from Woldenberg Park on the Mississippi River
  • The River Terrace may be booked as a stand-alone venue, or in conjunction with the Audubon Aquarium or Insectarium

Audubon Clubhouse

This charming Acadian style venue has an expansive view from the wrap-around porches of gorgeous oak trees to the beautifully-manicured Audubon Park Golf Course. A combination of a spacious dining area and a smaller private room make this space highly adaptable to different party sizes and event types.

Woldenberg Park

Book the most picturesque setting for picnics, festivals, and other events Woldenberg Park. Just steps from several major hotels, the Convention Center, and Jackson Square, Woldenberg Park offers acres of green space stretching between the Mississippi River and the historic French Quarter. The Park hosts French Quarter Fest each year and is the perfect location for concerts, corporate gatherings, school group performances, and other large-scale events. Audubon Nature Institute also offers Woldenberg Park for walks and races, fitness classes, and press conferences.

Odenheimer Area

The Odenheimer area offers several locations for a beautiful outdoor event.

Areas

  • The historic Odenheimer Sea Lion Pool was built in 1928 and stands as an iconic Audubon Zoo landmark. It's circular colonnade rising within ancient oaks sets the stage for a perfect place to exchange your vows.
  • Graceful and elegant the Hygeia Fountain offers an element of water and reflection. Surrounded by giant oak trees a canopy of leaves creates subtle patterns of light and movement in this enchanted area.
  • The Odenheimer Arbor with the Popp Fountain features a wide patio area with slate steps leading down to an historic fountain. From the fountain—which was Audubon Zoo's original front entrance—guests can see Audubon Park's Oak Alleé which ends at Newman Bandstand.

Cajun Ballroom

For a more unconventional and relaxed event, our Cajun Ballroom nestled at the heart of the Louisiana swamp exhibit offers a rootsy but elegant dance hall. The Louisiana Swamp Exhibit at Audubon Zoo transports you down the bayou and introduces you to the creatures and rich history of this region. Invite your guests to a Cajun fais do-do, crawfish boil, or other Southern-themed party at the Cajun Ballroom. This venue is perfect for rehearsal dinners, weddings, and receptions.

Newman Bandstand

A commanding location at the edge of a park lagoon. It suits both large and small gatherings, and is very popular for wedding ceremonies and parties. Many couples have arranged for a ceremony here with a reception at Audubon Clubhouse adjacent to the Newman Bandstand.

Audubon Aquarium

The Audubon Aquarium is located on the Mississippi River adjacent to the French Quarter. The Aquarium transports visitors to an underwater world from the Caribbean, to the Amazon Rainforest, to the waters that give New Orleans its lifeblood: the Mississippi River and the Gulf of Mexico. With more than 3,600 animals from more than 250 species, including endangered species, such as African penguins, and rare animals, such as white alligators, the Aquarium offers you an experience you’ll never forget.

St. Charles Avenue Entrance

The St. Charles Avenue entrance to Audubon Park is quite possibly the grandest and most majestic area of the park. Located steps from the streetcar line, it is not uncommon for couples and wedding parties, dressed in wedding finery, to arrive by streetcar for a ceremony in this charming location.

Cecile’s Crepe Myrtle Grove

The crepe myrtle grove is exactly as named. There is a circular path around the grove and a small open field in the middle, a perfect setting to pledge vows. This area is beautifully landscaped and graced with dozens of crepe myrtles.
